Rachel Baxter has had an incredible pole vault


career at VT. She was tied w 3 or 4 other women w leap of 13' 6.5" but placed bronze, I presume, based on # of misses. But she won gold at ACC Indoor Championship w vault > 1 ft higher than she did at just completed ACC Outdoor Championship meet.

Is there that much difference between indoor & outdoor vaulting conditions?
Or did Rachel just did not get into groove for her best vault?
